Detection and Blind Channel Estimation for UAV-Aided Wireless Sensor Networks in Smart Cities Under Mobile Jamming Attack

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be integrated into wireless sensor networks (WSNs) for smart city applications in several ways. Among them, a UAV employed as relay "store-carry and forward" fashion by uploading data from ground sensors metering devices and, then, downloading it to central unit. However, both the phases prone potential threats attacks. As legacy traditional networks, jamming attack is still one of major serious UAV-aided communications, especially when also jammer mobile, e.g., mounted on or inside terrestrial vehicle. In this paper, we investigate anti-jamming communications WSNs operating over doubly-selective channels phase. such scenario, signals transmitted malicious mobile undergo time dispersion due multipath propagation effects frequency caused their mobility. To suppress high-power signals, propose blind physical-layer technique that jointly detects symbols through serial disturbance cancellation based symbol-level post-sorting detector output. Amplitudes, phases, delays, Doppler shifts - required implement proposed detection strategy are blindly estimated use algorithms exploit almost-cyclostationarity properties received signal detailed structure multicarrier modulation format. Simulation results corroborate capabilities method, different mobility scenarios jammer.
